Bears of the Abbey was founded in April 1992 and is operated by award winning teddy bear artist Susan Mckay. It is a family run business with husband Mark acting as the business manager and the promoter of Teddy Bear shows in Canada.

Bears of the Abbey manufactures teddy bears and other soft sculpture animals such as miniature puppies, rabbits and cats. Susan's designs are versatile. Her bears and animals range in style from antique reproductions, real life looking ,contemporary to animated characters.

All creations produced by Bears of the Abbey are manufactured in mohair or alpaca and are fully jointed. Many also include hand painted,air-brushed and shading accents.

Bears of the Abbey provides to our clients, one of a kind, limited edition sets as well as exclusive lines to shops. Susan has conducted international teddy bear making workshops and artist signings.

minimum of five pieces on the first order, no minimum on repeat orders

30% deposit required at the time of the order.
