Pamela Drake Inc (PDI) began in 1972 importing quality items such as furniture, decorator accessories and crafts to zoos, mail order catalogs, nature stores, gift and museum stores. In 1994 PDI introduced a PAINT-A-KIT product line primarily into the emerging craft category. WOODKINS® was introduced into the toy market in 1998 with unprecedented success and recognition. Since that first introduction, PDI has added over 72 SKUs to this product line and added 5 distinct categories in addition to WOODKINS: Crafts (including Francis Family Toys), Toddler Toys (Applepie and Lemon Meringue), Puzzles, Dress up (Animal Tails) and Fantasy Play (Pony World).
