All Mixis™dolls celebrate the beauty and richness of
multiracial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Each premium doll has been delicately
designed with varying skin tones, realistically painted eyes, facial characteristics
that reflect two or more racial groups, fully articulated arms and legs and
a naturally proportioned body. Children can identify with one or more of the
dolls on a personal level. The focus is on the blending and fusion of races,
ethnicities and cultures, encouraging a dialogue between children and their
families that explores the richness and diversity of their unique backgrounds.
The Mixis™ inaugural line includes four dolls (Rosa, Emerald, Houda and Opal) and a line of culturally inspired accessories. All
clothing and accessories are fully functional; zippered boots and shoes made
of faux suede, faux leather or fabric; the bags and purses open and close so
children can store things in them. Each doll comes with a certificate of authenticity
in a reusable keepsake package, specifically designed to store the doll and
accessories. Dolls will be ready for shipping September 2007.
Four more dolls (Melissa, Pria, Kirsten and Ruby) are scheduled to be released
in the spring of 2008.
