Home Lantern Games (HLG) was established in 2009 to support the launch of the card game S’Quarrels. Based in the north Seattle, WA. area. Bryan Lovell, owner and designer, created the game starting back in 2007 while looking out the front window of his home. It all began while watching a couple squirrels collecting nuts for the upcoming winter. Over the next two years, S’Quarrels was tested and refined to become what it is today.

On November 2nd 2009, HLG launched its pilot game into the market in both Washington and Utah. In just a little over a month S’Quarrels had received recognition by several toy stores in Seattle as one of the top games for 2009. Soon after its launch, HLG had completely sold out of its initial inventory while the demand continued to grow.  Now in less than a year, HLG has successfully shipped copies of S’Quarrels all across the USA, Canada, and other locations around the world.

HLG continues to expand their exposure to the Game and Toy industry while preparing to bring on other titles for future release.

S’Quarrels is an exciting new card game based around the theme of squirrels collecting acorns before winter arrives. Under a nearby oak tree, embark upon the rigorous task of collecting and storing acorns before winter sets in. Your opponents are trying to take them all before you do.
