KÖSEN USA is a subsidiary of Kösener Spielzeug Manufaktur, GmbH, located in Bad Kösen, Germany and offers two brands: KÖSEN -The Plush Animal World and SILKE dolls and baby toys. All of our products are 100% handcrafted in our facility in Germany in continuation of a 90-year toy making tradition.

KÖSEN - The Plush Animal World – is our line of over 250 plush animals which include limited editions and a special collection of a World of Fairy Tales, which are dressed animals depicting fairy tale characters. We put special emphasis on naturalistic, lifelike appearance and outstanding quality, so that children can enjoy these toys for a long time. Attention to detail is not only reflected in the facial expression of our animals, it also shows in our selection of materials as well as in the handcrafting process. As a result many of our plush toys have won various awards (like Toy Of The Year Award 2008 by Creative Child Magazine) and are sought after by collectors of all ages.

In addition we demonstrate our proficiency in craftsmanship in EXCLUSIVE CUSTOM DESIGNS FOR INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS. Supply us with a photo or video of an animal of your choice and we will handcraft its plush counterpart.

The traditional brand SILKE is well known for children’s toys and dolls of the highest quality. The design is influenced by the experience of reformed educators, especially those of the Waldorf School, focusing on the need of small children. Therefore simple, clear shapes and colors characterize this line in order to inspire the playing child's imagination. All textiles being used for the SILKE line are of superior quality and have the Eco-Tex certificate 100, which indicates tested safety to the end user. SILKE toys are not only easy to maintain and durable, but also beautiful and of high play value. Many products have been warded excellent marks by independent toy evaluators.

Safety is of great importance to us. All of our products therefore meet and exceed the European safety standard EN 71 which is third party certified by TÜV. A Certificate of Compliance with the US safety regulations accompanies all our product shipments to the US

Shipping: Products are shipped directly from Germany. To offset the additional cost of oversea shipping we offer 10% discount of the total order amount. Therefore shipping will be FREE in many cases.
