Sheila Michael sculpted this 18” baby for collectors as part of Masterpiece Dolls line. Made with a combination of silicone and vinyl, the baby’s head, stomach and limbs are sewn to a soft body filled with fiber and weighted with plastic pellets to lend a real-baby feel. Her face is hand painted and she comes in a pink baby outfit.

Sculpted by Laura Tuzio-Ross for Masterpiece Dolls, this 20” baby has lifelike silicone/vinyl limbs and head attached to a cloth body. A human hair wig and a red satin outfit designed by the artist’s mother marks this doll as a true collectible.

One of the latest dolls sculpted by Sheila Michael for Masterpiece Dolls, this 2005 18" baby is the first Michael lifelike to have a "tushy." She comes in a white outfit with an undershirt, diaper, ID band and a pink bear rug.

Laura Tuzio-Ross sculpted this 18" little girl for the Masterpiece Dolls line. She wears a romper outfit in orange, brown and blue tones. A gold-toned bracelet and earrings complete her outfit.

Only 350 of Masterpiece Dolls’ first Hawaiian baby — Kailani, sculpted by Laura Tuzio-Ross — will be available. Her skin tone is a soft tan color that harmonizes with her dark brown eyes and straight black human-hair wig. Laura has sculpted full legs that go up into her cloth body, and her arms are sculpted above the elbows. She is made of silicon/ vinyl and her height is 22". She is wearing a pretty silk floral wreath in her hair and another one around her wrist. She holds one lavender orchid in her hand. Her outfit is a combination of sky blue and baby pink colors with matching sandals. She will weigh between 4 and 5 lbs.

From Sheila Michael. Just Born in pink is 18" and is made of silicone/vinyl. Her legs go above her knees and her arms are above her elbows. As with all Sheila Michael babies she will come alive in Mommy's arms. Just Born has on an undershirt and diaper. She has on an adorable outfit in pink with crocheted white booties. She has a beautiful white embroidered hat that Michael designed. She also has a beautiful white blanket and comes with an ID band where Mommy can write in her name. This lovely doll, sculpted by Monika Levenig, is 25” high. She has blonde hair and blue eyes and is a full body sculpture in vinyl. She will be released in a limited edition size of 350 pieces from May 1 to 31, 2006, at which time her photo will be visible on the Masterpiece Dolls Website.

Little Duckie by Sheila Michael is an 18" silicone/vinyl mix doll in a limited edition of 350 pieces. He features a duckie snuggly and a duckie receiving blanket. “Adult [collectors] like the babies that look as real as possible,” noted Sherry Grisham, owner of the 9-year-old Yesterday & Today’s Dolls in Corinth, Miss. "Collectors like a realistic expression of the face as well as the feel of the material we use," Shirley Blackall, president of Blackall Associates, told TDmonthly. "The babies that we're doing look like real babies and are sculpted by the best and most world-renowned artists. Collectors also appreciate that the edition size is only 350. We only bring out our dolls for selection in the United States every 3 months. Once they've been ordered, we no longer sell them after that." Launch date: August 1, 2006.
