Children and tweens will appreciate the soft and cuddly tails and fun, bright colors of the Fluffy Tails line (animals are 9" in size and the fluffy tail stretches even longer!).  The animals include Purrrfect (pink, cat), Fluffee (white, cat), Fancee (violet, fox), Prancee (turquoise, horse) and Merri (mint/lime, monkey). Aurora is commemorating Lamb Chop’s 50th Anniversary with its special edition puppet (15” MSRP $13.99), closely fashioned after the original Lamb Chop that caught the eyes of millions of viewers. The larger brown eyelashes, more prominent nose, and ribbed white sweater with three red buttons are a reminder of the Lamb Chop who have kept us laughing for more than 50 years.

Aurora released an adorable Bush Baby that retailers couldn’t keep on shelves. Now there are four more styles available, in vivid colors, and each of them makes funny sounds when squeezed. The bean filled plush animals (8”, MSRP: $6.99) have big ears, long tails and wide eyes and colors include Violet, Hot Pink, Turquoise and Lime Green.

Eco-friendly plush is generally double or triple the cost of its non-green counterparts. However, Aurora’s soybean based eco-plush line, which won a BabyZone.com Amazing Toy Award, retains quality without compromising affordability. Varying from 7.5 to 12 inches, suggested retail prices range from $15.99 - $39.99, respectively. The line includes arctic and endangered animals like polar bears, penguins and pandas, as well as jungle animals such as gorillas, monkeys, elephants and hippos.

Jazzy, a cuddly lion featuring long curly locks of hair, is one of the most adored characters from Aurora’s line of Flopsies. Kids love hugging and squeezing this beautiful ten inch, free-standing plush lion. For 2009, three vivid and colorful additions — called Mop Tops — are joining Jazzy’s “den” -- also ten inches in size, the violet, turquoise and pink assortment make sound when squeezed. Kids and tweens will appreciate choosing from the colorful options to match their personal style.

For the award winning category, Baby Talk, Aurora has released two new items for 2009 including My First Pet and My First Tool Kit. The plush carriers (6 inches in size) are easy for children to carry with them. Included in each carrier are four related plush characters (two to four inches depending on the character). Each plays a sound and has its corresponding name embroidered on the side, which teaches learning and development by association of words, shapes and sounds.

Aurora’s best-selling product and a favorite of kids and adults alike, Flopsies come in a variety of sizes, from mini 8” flopsies to standard 12” and 14.5” flopsies and 28” “super flopsies.” Best of all, Flopsies cover all the most popular creatures of the animal kingdom. Favorite jungle dwellers are on hand, parrots, tigers, zebras lions and elephants, as are those furry inhabitants of the forest such as woodchucks, meerkats, and otters. Many of the creatures that call the sea their home along with household pets are also included in the large collection. All styles are bean-filled and incorporate only lock washer or embroidered eyes for safety.

Cheeky Charlie and his pal Carmen (both 14.5”) are two bean-filled plush monkeys that like hanging around and creating smiles. Velcro hands can clasp or wrap around just about anything, making them as at home in a crib or playpen as they are on a bookshelf or windowsill. A brightly-colored bib and trademarked “banana in the tail” add instant interest and curiosity. There’s even a baby monkey (7”) that serves as Cheeky’s little buddy; also a 12” body puppet, and a western- wearing, ranger-hat outfitted “Wrangler” Cheeky Charlie (14.5”).

Aurora’s super-soft and interactive 14” teddy bear provides cuddly comfort while helping kids learn valuable skills. Through the bear’s colorful pair of overalls children learn how to tie a ribbon, fasten a snap, close a button and put items in a pocket. As they practice their motor skills, they will also learn the names of popular fruits that correspond to the colored parts of the overalls, banana and orange feet, and an apple and pear to put inside a bib pouch. Sound effects, a rattle and a squeak, on the hands round out the educational and developmental fun.

These additions to Aurora’s furry, loveable YooHoo line are 8" Sugar Glider, Panda, Penguin and Lesser Panda. Each cuddly plush character makes a distinctive and funny sound when its tummy is squeezed.  Sugar Glider has pink wings attached to her tiny arms and tail, and makes a "whistle” sound). Lesser Panda features a pink and purple striped tail to match his pink button nose and purple body, and makes a “boing” sound. Panda makes a “giggle” noise when squeezed, and Penguin makes a “magical” noise.

Aurora’s charismatic Dilly Dallys line includes eight different animals. Mousey, Alley Cat and Howler (14” MSRP $14.99) feature different patches embroidered on their bellies and feet. The patches represent a characteristic of each animal. For example, Howler the Monkey features a banana; Alley Cat, a fish bone; and Mousey, a slice of cheese. Howler and Alley Cat’s uneven smiles or Mousey’s charming, oversized front tooth will put smiles on the faces of children and adults alike. The other Dilly Dallys — Laramie Lion, B.B. Aurora inked a deal to produce an exclusive plush product line for Stephan Pastis’ Pearls Before Swine, the hit cartoon comic strip syndicated in more than 550 newspapers worldwide. Aurora’s Pearls plush product line will initially include seven pieces. The free standing, 12 inch plush includes Rat, Pig, and Croc (MSRP: $10.99). The Okee Dokee line of 12" plush features whimsical friends with distinctive, wacky patterns and fun colors exclusive to each animal. Their mismatched eyes and crooked, yet cute, smiles are sure to bring the giggles. The collection includes Potomas the hippo, Mangos the monkey and Lillibelle the lamb. Launch date: 2009.

Part of the company's eco-friendly plush line, Aurora Naturally, this teddy bear is handmade in Indonesia of 100-percent soy fiber on the outside and stuffed with 100-percent Kapok, which is a hypoallergenic, silky fiber from the seed pods of kapok trees in the rainforest. Its hangtag is printed on 100-percent recycled paper. The 7.5" and 12" plush carry respective suggested retail prices of $15.99 and $39.99. Launch date: June 2008.

Each Travel Around the World set includes a toy travel case with a world map, a sticker sheet with 13 removable stickers to decorate the toy case again and again, and an 8” plush friend with a fun-facts tag and a hangtag that one can personalize. The travel case measures 8.5” W x 6.5” H x 3” D. "There's real play value here — kids can sticker the case, or use other stickers and make it [their] own. Secondly, kids can put other Aurora animals and personal belongings inside,” said Sean Hellenbrand, Aurora's director of sales for the gift division. “The plush animal is a lifelong friend for your child." Each adorable, puppy-dog-eyed Yoo Hoo plush comes with both paws holding a heart embroidered with the words “Hug Me” or “Luv Me.” The 8” plush is available in a purple or a pink variety. A 5” version of the plush is also available with an MSRP of $5.99. Launch date: December 2007.

The Playtime Puppets line includes 12” puppets and two 3-1/2” finger puppets. Gator, Froggy, Scruff, Moo Cow and Penguin are just a few of the characters in the Playtime Puppets family who make playtime for children more fun and interactive. Each puppet features velcro on its mouth and paws, feet or hands, and can hold two related finger puppets for added fun. Gator, for example, comes with his crocodile pal and a fish, while Moo Cow holds a bottle of milk and his friend the pig. Launch date: 2007.

The 8” Mini-Flopsies line includes over 30 creatures, including the latest ones geared at boys as well as girls: Iguana, Praying Mantis, Lady Bug, Tarantula, Gecko, Horned Toad and Leaf Bug. The new Mini-Flopsies line also includes “political” plushes, with a GOP Elephant and a Demo Donkey.

Aurora's 8" Bushy Squirrel carries an acorn and comes in brown and gray versions. It is 8" x 5" x 8" in dimension and weighs approximately 1 lb.
