A Broader View was formed in 2001 when Roger Andresen made it his mission to spread geographical awareness and knowledge across the globe. What emerged was a variety of award-winning educational geography products. The initial product was The Global Puzzle™, which is a 600-piece puzzle of the world that is unique because it actually has pieces shaped like countries, states, and provinces.

For the first few years, A Broader View focused on products that promoted geography awareness, as well as other methods to teach the world geography.

One highly successful endeavor was the creation of GeographyZone.com, a free interactive website. This website includes the Geography Challenge, the largest online geography competition ever. Since the launch of the website, a review of participation has revealed just how powerful Andresen’s concept truly is as an educational force. Over two million people representing 192 countries have participated in the Geography Challenge and have heightened their interest in geography. In addition, thousands of emails have been sent from those who appreciate this fantastic way to learn geography.

Others have also taken notice of A Broader View’s impact; the company has received press coverage from hundreds of different media outlets across the globe, including USA Today, CNN, and Fox News, just to name a few.

In addition, A Broader View's geography line has prospered, finding homes in over one thousand specialty shops across the globe and in numerous large chains as well.

A Broader View's mission has always been to add entertainment and educational value to new and existing products. A Broader View now offers an additional 16 new products, most of which are detailed on this site.

The Creepy Critters Version, created by famed puzzle designer - Michael Searle, allows one to view some of nature’s smaller animals in all of their magnificent colors in their magnificently-colored habitat from the bottom up at every angle.Jigsaw puzzles are a timeless family tradition, but traditional puzzles present a problem to those working on them—typically only one person (the person building from the bottom of the puzzle) has a normal view of the puzzle image.
