Throw Throw Burrito by Exploding Kittens - A Dodgeball Card Game - Family-Friendly Party Games - Card Games for Adults, Teens & Kids

Very fun game - can be too much violence depending on players Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2020 Style: Throw Throw Burrito - OriginalVerified Purchase I only took away one star because this has ended with angry players on several occasions. One occasion with crying. I suggest making a house rule that head shots are off limits if you play with kids or anyone who doesn't like getting hit in the face with a foam burrito. We haven't had a bloody nose yet, but I do think you could get a bloody nose if you were hit just right with enough velocity.

Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2021
Style: Throw Throw Burrito -  A game where you get to throw burritos at each other? Seemed too good to be true. This game is SO much fun. So easy to learn. The premise is simple enough. Everyone plays at the same time, nobody is sitting getting bored while others take their turns. Multiple piles of cards are spread around the table then everyone starts drawing from their pile and discarding to the next until a total of 3 matching cards is achieved. If the 3 cards are any variety of extremely adorable critters then the player places those cards in front of them and keeps drawing tying to achieve another match. If the matching cards are a variety of burrito cards then chaos ensues as two players engage in a burrito throwing contest. Who can take out their opponent first? The burritos are very soft and don’t hurt even if you get beaned by a particularly hard throw. The bigger area you have to play in the better, but we played in our relatively small kitchen/dining area and still had a blast.

Great family fun, with a caveat Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2020 Style: Throw Throw Burrito -  This is an easy to learn game that our 10 year old son LOVES. It's a basic match three game, but with random dodge ball matches breaking out! The only issue we struggle with is that with a three person game, and around an average sized dining room table, burrito wars resolve themselves without anyone even moving from their seats. I bet this will be an even greater game for our son to enjoy with his friends in a larger group post COVID-19.

The Details
Throw Throw Burrito is the world's first dodgeball card game! Try to collect matching sets of cards faster than your opponents while simultaneously ducking, dodging and throwing squishy airborne burritos. The cards you collect earn points, but getting hit by flying burritos loses them.
  • Clear some space and put away the antiques because you've never played a party game quite like this.
  • Steal points from your opponents by hitting them with squishy foam burritos.
  • Hilarious and family-friendly party game for 2-6 players.
  • Illustrations from the creator of The Oatmeal.
  • Warning: Choking Hazard - Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.

Scheming and Skulking by GRANDPA BECK'S GAMES
Scheming and Skulking by GRANDPA BECKScheming and Skulking, is an exciting card game where every hand can be a winning hand... if you play your cards right! It is a "trick taking" game, which means that each turn, each player, plays one card. The highest numbered card, or the most powerful special Pirate card played will win. This is called "taking a trick." Each hand players look at their cards and then create a Scheme as to how many tricks they will win. With a "Yo Ho Ho," players simultaneously bid how many tricks they will win. Those bids are recorded on the included score pad. Players continue to Scheme to make sure they win exactly how many tricks they bid. If you get your bid you score. If you win more, or less, than you bid, you loose points. You never know which cards are skulking out there that might thwart your scheme because there are always some cards not dealt out. The five powerful PIRATE cards, the adaptable TIGRESS card, and the all powerful SKULL KING card may, or may not be Skulking in another player's hand. There may be many, or few JOLLY ROGER cards dealt, which are the valuable trump cards. Getting your bid is a dynamic challenge that makes every hand of every game dramatic and interesting. If you have and escape card, it allows you to avoid taking a trick. This is especially helpful when you bid to win zero tricks. Yes, in this game you can win by loosing! Every hand, whether you have high or low cards, can be a winner, If you play your cards right! There are many ways to score bonus points that allow you to come back from behind, or to quickly shoot ahead. You are always in the game, no matter what cards you are dealt. Scheming and Skulking will become a new family favorite for you, just as it is the all time favorite of Grandpa Beck and his family. This award winning game will never cease to entertain and challenge. It is the winner of several awards and now licensed for distribution in a Euro version now available in Europe and Russia! 4/1/2014 (Price: $12.99) [Add to my Inquiry Basket][?]
