Customized Sport Toys are Crafty
Design Your Own Design Your Own (DYO) creates sports and educational oriented kits that include balls, skateboards or chess kits that can be decorated and painted on by kids. The kits come with everything included, such as the ball or skateboard, inflation pumps and needles, grip tape, and of course brushes and specialized paint. All toys are fully usable after completion. DYO was created when the owners identified a niche in the market that was not being fulfilled. They noticed the industry had many craft kits for girls between 6-12, but none for both boys and girls. What makes this kit especially appealing is that it ultimately encourages physical activity, too. Sales of the DYO Soccer Ball Kit are increasing due to the popularity of the recent World Cup, and the basketball kit is being sold in the NBA store in Manhattan. Currently, the Crayola Works store in Maryland, and Good Toy Group of national stores are featuring DYO as in-store projects that kids may purchase, complete and take home.
