Soccer has always dominated the world stage when it comes to
popularity. With the recent World Cup win of the U.S.’s Women’s Soccer
Team, and the Men’s Team reaching the Quarter Finals for the first
time since 1930, soccer is becoming more and more popular within the
U.S. as well. Manufacturer’s have picked up on this trend, and have
some cool new offerings in this arena.
Classic Sport Companies Soccer Golf
Grabbing hold of the current soccer craze in the US right now,
I think Classic Sport has one of the most original and cool products
with its Soccer Golf. Almost a cross between croquet and soccer, the
game has players kick soccer balls through several “goals,” the Golf
“holes,” in order to win. Lots of fun on its own, the game can easily
be translated into a practice exercise.

With a basketball, football, and volleyball already viable
in the market, Huffy Sport has done exactly what they should do
and released a Twilight Soccer ball as well. The Twilight series
of balls come with a LED (Light Emitting Diode) encased inside of
them. The LED, best known for lighting up your CAPS lock button,
is a virtually indestructible light source, perfect for being bounced
and kicked around. As the LED lights up the ball quite well, you
will be able to bounce and kick the Twilight around until all hours
of the night, much to your neighbor’s chagrin.

Much like Huffy, Spalding knows when it has a good thing on
its hands. Also with a Basketball, Football, and Volleyball in the
market, Spalding has reintroduced its Infusion technology, this
time in a soccer ball. The ball comes with a pump built inside of
it, so that you never have to have one on hand. The pump, which
is completely concealed when not in use, allows for 1 lb of pressure
per minute of pumping. This FIFA® approved ball looks a lot
glossier than I remember soccer balls being, almost plastic coated.
But hey, that’s actually pretty cool.
