SUMMER TOYS:

Summer just began a few days ago, and while it started of on
a rainy note here in LA, it promises to be another hot one. While
most stores are already stocked up for the summer season, there are
a few products out there worthy of a late addition. Check out these
toys that are bound to be as hot as the season.

Remember Snoopy? I loved that dog. Kids are a little different
these days though, and so are the characters they love. Hence, Snoopy
Sno-Cone Maker is no more…now, from Little Kids Inc., SpongeBob
SquarePants Sno-Cone Maker! I loved my Sno-Cone Maker when I was
a kid. So much so that last holiday season I got another one as
a gift. As I recall, the Sno-Cones were actually a little hard to
make. However, now that I’ve grown up, it was ridiculously easy…so,
a little parental help should make this toy a real treat.

Made by Sassy PDM, the Geyser Gusher has won both Parent’s
Choice and Dr. Toy Awards this year. And, it has been unanimously
decided by the ToyDirectory Monthly office: we want one. First things
first, however, we need to acquire a pool. In any case, the Geyser
Gusher shoots a 1-inch stream of water up to 30 feet in the air.
Not too shabby, considering the water is propelled by one’s own
hands. Looking vaguely megaphone-esque, the Geyser Gusher shoots
its water based on the principle that as the diameter decreases,
the pressure increases. So, simply pull the toy through the pool,
and you’ve got a self propelled water cannon.
