Donald Duck Instant Messaging Buddy
United Internet Technologies (UIT) recently announced an exclusive distribution arrangement with America Online’s (AOL) shopping division, featuring a technology product aimed at Internet savvy kids. Starting September 2002, AOL will offer for sale a small robotic product that looks like a cartoon character, but “speaks” instant messages and chat responses directly from the Internet.

More than just another computer speaker, these “Brilliant Toys” sit atop the computer monitor and feature popular Looney Toons characters like Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. UIT’s patented technology programs the toys to talk and move in real time when conversing in instant messaging through AOL and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).

The Intelligent Control Interactive Technology (I-C-IT) is a “smart product” that can communicate with or be controlled by the user or other I-C-IT devices.

“The Looney Toons Instant Messaging Buddies will help engage children in a whole new level of online interactivity,” said Brian Shuster, CEO of UIT.
