Watch carefully for the opponent's insects as they threaten your queen bee. Doing this will expose their weaknesses allowing you to surround their queen bee. Using 5 different insect tiles surround the opponent's queen bee while protecting your own.
Each tile is different and has a unique way of moving, imitating nature and resembling the movement of the insect depicted on the tile. For instance, the grasshopper is the only tile that can jump over other tiles.
Hive is an enjoyable game with simple rules. It encourages the player to use various intellectual skills including strategic planning, tactical thinking and spatial vision. In order to win, you must play both the offense (surround your opponent's bee) and the defense (protecting your queen bee) at the same time.
Hive is a board-less strategy game for 2 players ages 8 and up.
