Harris and Ellen Tobias began Copernicus Toys in 1987 with a mission to enlighten and entertain by bringing customers fun and accessible science. With a long history in retail toys and keen eyes for unusual and educational products they gathered a distinctive line of products and developed the best-selling Canny Kits.

In January 2008, Avrom and Peggy Tobias bought Copernicus Toys, drawing on their backgrounds in design and education to find and create new products that are fun and whimsical hands-on experiences with science, nature, and learning. The way they see it: creating, learning new skills, and completing projects is not only good fun, but also brings joy, pride, and confidence to kids of all ages. Good Smart Fun.
