Players compete to build the biggest tower. But they have to do it secretly, tucking tower pieces into their bags so that no one can see what they have. If a color is rolled on the die and all of those blocks are gone, the player has to remember who else took a block of that color, preferably a bigger block of that color, and ask for it. If right, the block is turned over. If wrong, the player forfeits his own block. Tottering Towers is for 2 to 4 players.

To play, place five cards in a circle. Everyone gets to look and study. Each card depicts an animal performing a silly motion, like flapping its wings, jumping up and down or dancing. Now the cards are flipped upside down (and mom and dad are now at a distinct disadvantage to the kids). Roll the dice to see how many hops the wooden Safar man takes. The player has to remember and act out the action on the card, then flip it over to see if he or she was right! If right, she gets a chip. If not, it’s the next players turn. Hilarious fun for all ages.

The object of this game is to herd colored wooden sheep around the meadow to the pasture first. But guess what? The meadow cards have colored flowers on them that match the sheep. A flower that matches the color of a player's sheep has to be on a meadow card in order for herto land on it! Either that, or shehave to use up one of her “flower foods” to place on the meadow to allow her to roam to that spot. Watch out—the other flowers can be placed on top, and the sheep get stuck.

A little like the beloved “rock, paper, scissors,” this fast moving card game has two variations for which cards “beat” the others. Both players turn over a card at the same time, glance to see if their character wins or loses against the other player’s card, then quickly scrambles to grab for either a green wooden figure if the card wins or red wooden figure if the card is the loser. Whoever guesses correctly first and grabs the right man—wins. If the “cheat” card is flipped over, the game is an entirely new version! For 2 players.

This wooden rattle provides comfort for teething babies. Colorful and durable, the rattle is built to withstand a heavy workload. The blocks on the rattle are connected by elastic, allowing the rattle to be bent and played with.
— The rattle was HABA’s best-selling infant product in 2004.
— Joe Thoron, co-owner of OrganicGiftShop.com, said that this rattle is a consistently great seller. “A lot of parents are concerned especially about what’s going into their children’s mouths, so parents that want a natural product usually get the HABA rattle.”
— “This sells very well,” said Jason Oliver, chief operating officer of Oompa Toys in Los Angeles.

Agriculture has never been so much fun. Kids battle to harvest their crops before the ravens descend on the farm. The board features colorful wooden fruit pieces. Kids can join up and play as teams.
— “It’s an expensive game, generally speaking, but it has a very good following of people who know it and recommend it and then other people buy it,” said Jason Oliver, chief operating officer of Oompa Toys, based in Los Angeles. “We have three versions of the game. The regular sells the most. It’s consistent.”
— “It probably sells best of our HABA games,” said Owner Alex Goedrich of Maulika in Carlsbad, Calif. “HABA does a really nice line of games with wooden pieces that are fun and quick and easy to learn,” retailer Diane Robinson of Essex, Mass., told TDmonthly before the 2006 holidays.
— This game is a top seller at Stone Soup in Bar Harbor, Maine, Catherine Higgins said in May 2008. Two other retailers, out of 66 surveyed, also named HABA items as best sellers in their stores.

— Jason Oliver of Oompa Toys, had this to say: “We just started to carry them, but they are selling well already.”
— According to the British Society For Cell Biology, “Great fun can be had by looking at small organisms. A good magnifying glass will help your observations.”
