BILLUND, DENMARK, Aug 27, 2025 - The LEGO Group announced impressive financial results for the first half of 2025, reporting robust double-digit top- and bottom-line growth. The Danish toy giant's revenue climbed 12% to a record DKK 34.6 billion (approx. US$5.38 billion), with net profit increasing 10% to DKK 6.5 billion (US$1.01 billion). Consumer sales grew by 13%, significantly outpacing the overall toy industry. Growth was particularly strong in Western Europe and the CEEMEA region, demonstrating continued global demand.
This success was driven by an innovative product range, featuring a record 314 new sets launched during the period. Bestselling themes included popular homegrown lines like LEGO City, Technic, Botanicals, and Icons, alongside strong licensed properties such as LEGO Star Wars. The company also expanded its brand reach through new partnerships with Formula 1, BLUEY, and ONE PIECE, and announced a multi-year collaboration to debut LEGO Pokémon in 2026. CEO Niels B Christiansen credited product appeal and colleague dedication for maintaining strong market share.
Leveraging its solid financial position, The LEGO Group is heavily investing in strategic initiatives for capacity expansion and environmental sustainability. This includes opening a new factory in Vietnam, ongoing construction for a major facility in Virginia, U.S., and expansions in Mexico and Hungary. Global retail presence grew with 24 new branded stores, bringing the total to 1,079, alongside a new Americas head office in Boston. Further advancing sustainability, LEGO doubled renewable content in purchased materials, introduced rSEBS from recycled fishing nets for tires, and plans for e-methanol use. The company remains focused on inspiring future generations through play and sustainable practices.
