Disguise Adds Yoshi to Its Super Mario Costume Line Days Before Halloween
Disguise, the costume maker owned by JAKKS Pacific, announced on Oct. 26 an all-new collection of Yoshi costumes, joining its Super Mario lineup of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser and Rosalina. The company says the costumes are available now on Amazon in North America and EMEA, and at Target, Walmart US and Canada, Meijer and Halloweencostumes.com. Disguise first launched costumes with Nintendo in 2013 and now sells them across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Australia.
"The excitement across the entire Super Mario franchise has been consistently increasing, and we're seeing that translate into growing interest in characters beyond Mario and Luigi," said Tara Cortner, president and GM of Disguise. With Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 31, shoppers can see Disguise Yoshi costumes on Amazon.

Melissa & Doug Brings Mo Willems' Pigeon and Elephant & Piggie to Wooden Toys
Melissa & Doug now sells wooden toys based on Mo Willems' picture books, listed as MelissaAndDoug.com exclusives for ages 3 and up. The Pigeon Wooden Bus Play Set ($29.99) re-creates Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! with a wooden bus that has an opening door and rolling wheels, plus six double-sided wooden figures, including the Pigeon and the Bus Driver. The company says the set is FSC-certified (for new inventory).
The Elephant & Piggie Cube Puzzle ($20.99) has 16 solid wood cubes that make six illustrated scenes of Gerald and Piggie, with color-coded borders to help preschoolers match the cubes and a wooden tray that doubles as a building base. Neither set is sold on Amazon; both are on Melissa & Doug's own site.

First U.S. ONE PIECE MUGIWARA STORE Opens Nov. 6 in Los Angeles, Reservations Required the First Week
Toei Animation, together with Sony Group, will open ONE PIECE MUGIWARA STORE Los Angeles, the first U.S. location of the official One Piece merchandise store, on Friday, Nov. 6, on the second floor of Westfield Century City (10250 Santa Monica Blvd.). Toei says the shop will carry exclusive goods sold only there and merchandise featuring original animation art, show original video, and feature a "Surfer Chopper" that talks to shoppers. A limited number of opening shopping bags will be given away.
Entry from Nov. 6 to Nov. 12 is by advance reservation through the store's official site, mugiwara-store-us.com, and Toei notes the reservation period may change. To mark the opening, 10 Mugiwara Stores in Japan will run a novelty giveaway starting Nov. 6.

Mattel Creations Releases a $70 Monster High Oogie Boogie Doll on Oct. 29
Mattel Creations is selling a Monster High Skullector doll of Oogie Boogie from Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas for $70. The 10.5-inch doll has 11 points of articulation, a neon green bubble-skirt gown whose black lining is printed with fluorescent bugs, crimped green hair, platform boots sculpted with grubs and bugs, and a bathtub purse holding henchmen Lock, Shock and Barrel.
All current inventory goes to Fang Club members in a member-exclusive drop on Oct. 29. If those dolls sell out, the Oct. 30 public sale becomes a pre-order for the next production run, which Mattel says is expected to ship in fall 2027.

Ty's Winnie the Pooh Beanie Babies, Bouncers and Clips Start at $6.99
Ty's online store now has a Winnie the Pooh collection of Beanie Babies, Beanie Bouncers and clips featuring Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore, each listed at $6.99. On Oct. 26 the Beanie and Bouncer versions showed "Buy," while the Piglet and Eeyore clips were marked "Coming Soon." Ty pitches the line as screen-free plush for fans of all ages and notes that Pooh began in A.A. Milne's books in the 1920s before Disney brought him to the screen in the 1960s.
A Ty Winnie the Pooh Beanie Baby is also listed on Amazon at $13.99, about twice Ty's own price.

Disney Store Plans Its First UK Outlet, a Cheshire Oaks Pop-Up With Up to 40% Off
Disney Store is bringing its first UK outlet store to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks this autumn under the name Disney Store Pop Up, the Manchester Evening News reported on Oct. 22. The 1,300-square-foot shop will mix new and seasonal full-price products with discounted merchandise and multibuy offers, with savings of up to 40% on selected products across toys, apparel, plush, collectibles and dress-up from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. An exact opening date has not been confirmed.
"The Disney Store Pop Up will give families and fans another way to shop official merchandise," said Patrick Sager, VP of global Disney Store retail and marketing. The outlet joins Disney Store's UK and Ireland stores, including Oxford Street in London and Grafton Street in Dublin.
