November 2026

Five toys climbing Amazon's toy charts this week: a shy interactive pet you can wear, a retro light-up art toy, a Shrek minifigure six-pack, a 10-inch LEGO Santa and a Polly Pocket compact with My Little Pony inside. We checked each price and stock status on Nov. 4, 2026.

1. Peekimo Interactive Pet (Spin Master)

Spin Master Peekimo pink interactive pet in its pod, with box

Peekimo is a small electronic pet that hides in a pod and peeks out as kids earn its trust. Kids tap it, swipe its touch bar or talk to it, and Spin Master says it has more than 100 reactions. Lights on the pod show its mood, from hungry to happy. When a child reaches "BFF" status, 5 games unlock, and two Peekimos can interact with each other. It comes with a lanyard and carabiner ring, so kids can wear it or clip it to a bag. It is rated 5 and up, comes in pink, purple and blue, and includes 1 AAA battery. Price on Amazon: $24.99, in stock. It was No. 10 on Amazon's Kids' Electronics best-seller list on Nov. 4.

Pros: Screen-free digital-pet play for $24.99; it works as a bag charm too; the battery is included.
Cons: Kids who want a full virtual-pet game may find it simpler than a Tamagotchi; two Peekimos are needed for the interaction feature.

2. Lite-Brite Classic (Basic Fun)

Lite-Brite Classic light-up peg board with box and templates

The light-up peg toy from 1967 is No. 12 on Amazon's overall Toys & Games best-seller list this week. The Lite-Brite Classic has 206 pegs in 6 colors, 6 picture templates (a boat and a unicorn among them) and 4 light modes. The LED lights don't get hot. Basic Fun rates it for ages 4 and up. Price on Amazon: $18.90, but the listing said "Only 1 left in stock" on Nov. 4, so it may sell out or change price.

Pros: Under $20; quiet, screen-free art that works for car rides; parents who had one as kids can play too.
Cons: Needs 3 AA batteries, not included; 206 small pegs to keep track of; stock was nearly gone on Nov. 4.

3. LEGO Minifigures Shrek Series 6-Pack (66815)

LEGO Minifigures Shrek Series 6-Pack 66815 box and minifigures

This new LEGO Shrek six-pack is No. 9 on Amazon's new-release building toys list. It holds 6 sealed mystery boxes, each with a minifigure from LEGO's 12-character Shrek series: Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Pinocchio, Gingy, Dragon, Puss in Boots, Thelonious, Big Bad Wolf, Merlin, Lord Farquaad, Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming are on LEGO's list. Most come with an accessory, such as Puss in Boots with one of the blind mice and Lord Farquaad with the magic mirror. It is rated 6 and up. Price on Amazon: $29.94, in stock, the same as LEGO.com.

Pros: About $5 a figure; a ready-made stocking stuffer for Shrek fans of any age; works with any LEGO set.
Cons: LEGO says a pack can contain duplicates, so 6 boxes won't always mean 6 different characters.

4. LEGO Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure (40820)

LEGO Up-Scaled Santa Minifigure 40820 building set

LEGO's Up-Scaled Santa is a 761-piece, minifigure-style Santa that stands over 10.5 in. (27 cm) tall. Like a regular minifigure, his arms and legs move, so he can sit on a shelf or stand on a table. LEGO rates it for ages 10 and up and pitches it as a holiday decoration families can bring out every year. LEGO.com lists it at $59.99, and Amazon had it for $54.99, in stock, on Nov. 4. It is No. 11 on Amazon's new-release building toys list. For more holiday LEGO, see our advent calendar picks.

Pros: $5 under LEGO's price on Amazon; a family build that doubles as Christmas decor; 761 pieces is a solid weekend project.
Cons: Rated 10+, so younger kids will need help; it is mostly for display, with little play value.

Polly Pocket x My Little Pony Collector Compact, open and closed

This heart-shaped Polly Pocket compact opens onto My Little Pony's Dream Castle in Ponyland, with a stable, a waterfall, a sea-pony lake and a rainbow slider. Inside are a micro Polly doll and micro versions of the ponies Glory and Firefly, both with brushable tails. A comb hides in the lid, and the jumping hoop doubles as a ring kids can wear. It is No. 20 on Amazon's new-release dolls list. Price on Amazon: $33.00, in stock.

Pros: Two nostalgic brands in one pocket-size set; the ring and comb add extras; easy to take along.
Cons: Micro figures and accessories are tiny and easy to lose; $33 is high for a compact.
