November 2026

Fresh board-game street dates and holiday stockers hit this week: Steve Jackson Games posted a Nov. 5 release note, Asmodee's Office Dog titles land Nov. 6 and Nov. 13, Mantic's Assassin's Creed board game is shipping with a launch code, and Capstone's Sanctuary (the English Artengarten) is on U.S. shelves. Here are seven stories worth knowing on Nov. 5, 2026.

1. Steve Jackson Games Flags Holiday Stockers and Two Just-Out Titles

Good, Bad, Potato card game from Steve Jackson Games

On Nov. 5, Steve Jackson Games' Daily Illuminator listed new and holiday games for the season. Just released: Munchkin: Duck of Many Things, a 150-card expansion upgraded for Munchkin Second Edition ($19.95 on Warehouse 23; the Amazon listing was $25.07 on Nov. 5), and Good, Bad, Potato, a 3- to 5-player pocket card game with no dice. Warehouse 23 lists Good, Bad, Potato at $9.95 for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin Nov. 10; Amazon listed it at $9.99 with a Nov. 11 release note the same day.

Holiday titles called out as available now include Zombie Dice 2 — Double Feature, Munchkin Tails of the Season, Bad Christmas ($9.95 on Warehouse 23; $11.95 on Amazon on Nov. 5) and The 12 Dice of Christmas ($14.95 on Warehouse 23; $16.95 on Amazon).

Pros: A same-day publisher note with clear street dates and stocking-stuffer prices under $20.
Cons: Good, Bad, Potato is still in pre-order; Munchkin Duck needs a Munchkin base game.

2. Schadenfreude Trick-Taker Lands Nov. 6 for $19.99

Schadenfreude card game by Office Dog, Asmodee USA

Office Dog's Schadenfreude releases Nov. 6 on Asmodee's U.S. store at $19.99. It is a 3- to 5-player, ~20-minute trick-taker for ages 10 and up in which second-best takes the trick: players enlist castle staff cards (Cook, Guard, Cultist, Jester, Executioner) and try to push rivals over the edge while staying just short of the top. The box holds 55 cards, five score markers, a score tracker and a rulebook. No verified U.S. Amazon ASIN was live on Nov. 5, so buy links go to Asmodee.

Pros: Short play time and a $19.99 holiday-table price; a fresh twist on trick-taking.
Cons: Ages 10+ and a dark castle theme; not a kids' first card game.

3. The Lord of the Rings: Circle of Conflict Arrives Nov. 13

The Lord of the Rings Circle of Conflict board game box

Also from Office Dog / Asmodee, The Lord of the Rings: Circle of Conflict releases Nov. 13 at $49.99. The 2- to 4-player dice game (ages 14+, about 60 minutes) has each player command both The Shadow and The Free Peoples against the neighbors on either side. Components listed by Asmodee include eight custom dice, four battle boards, dry-erase markers, player boards, a Ring board and a wooden Gollum marker. Amazon matched the $49.99 pre-order price on Nov. 5.

Pros: Official Middle-earth license with a clear Nov. 13 street date; simultaneous two-front play.
Cons: Rated 14+; $49.99 is a bigger holiday buy than a party filler.

4. Assassin's Creed Animus Ships From Mantic With a 10% Code Through November

Assassin's Creed Animus board game components from Mantic Games

Mantic Games said on Oct. 30 that Assassin's Creed Animus — The Board Game is available now and shipping. It is a competitive 1- to 4-player game for ages 12 and up (about 40–90 minutes). The Standard Edition (£40 on Mantic's shop) covers Altaïr, Ezio, Connor and Eivor across four eras; the limited Collector's Edition (£175) expands to 16 Assassins, 10 eras, an event deck and a Master Assassin's Chest. Checkout code HIDDENONE takes 10% off through the end of November 2026. No matching Amazon U.S. board-game listing was verified on Nov. 5.

Pros: Official Ubisoft partnership; asymmetric Assassins keep rematches fresh; launch discount through November.
Cons: Collector's Edition is a one-print run and pricey; Standard Edition is sold from the U.K. webstore.

5. Sanctuary, the English Artengarten, Is $59.99 After Winning the Deutscher Spiele Preis

Sanctuary board game by Capstone Games

SPIEL Essen's Deutscher Spiele Preis page lists Mathias Wigge's Feuerland title (the German Artengarten) as the 2026 community-vote winner, ahead of Boss Fighters QR and Galactic Cruise. Capstone Games sells the English edition as Sanctuary — An Ark Nova Game: a 1- to 5-player, medium-weight zoo builder with 135 unique animal, building and project tiles, about 60–90 minutes, ages 12+. Capstone and Asmodee USA both list $59.99; Amazon had it in stock at $55.80 on Nov. 5.

Pros: Award-winning Ark Nova sibling in English; plays solo through 5; already on Amazon.
Cons: Heavier than a party game; fans who own Ark Nova may find the overlap familiar.

6. Coffee Rush: Winter Brings Seasonal Drinks for $34.99

Coffee Rush Winter board game box

Korea Board Games' Coffee Rush: Winter is listed at $34.99 on Asmodee USA for 2 to 4 players, ages 8+, about 30 minutes. The winter edition keeps the real-time barista rush and adds modular ingredient layouts, seasonal drinks, snowman-shaped ice tokens, orange-slice fruit and new upgrade tiles. Scoring is +2 per "like," +5 per activated upgrade and −1 per "dislike." Amazon had the game in stock at $34.99 on Nov. 5 (Asmodee's U.S. page still showed a pre-order/sold-out state the same day).

Pros: Family-friendly 30-minute play; winter theme fits holiday tables; Amazon stock checked Nov. 5.
Cons: Real-time chaos is noisy; owners of the original may want the modular boards before buying a second box.

7. Citadels Duel Puts the Classic in a Two-Player Box for $29.99

Citadels Duel card game by Z-Man Games

Z-Man Games' Citadels Duel is on Asmodee USA at $29.99 for exactly two players (ages 14+, about 30 minutes): a head-to-head rebuild of the bluffing city-builder with character powers, district tiles, gold tokens and a council board. Amazon listed one copy left at $29.99 on Nov. 5. It is a compact couples'/duel gift for fans who never could make the multiplayer classic work at two.

Pros: True two-player design; familiar Citadels characters; under $30.
Cons: 14+ rating; only two players, so it sits out larger family nights.
