In short
Two stories matter for holiday toy buyers this week: Care Bears and FAO Schwarz are co-presenting Rockefeller Center's Meet the Tree Day on Nov. 7, and Netflix opened a dedicated KPop Demon Hunters hub for fans on Nov. 5. Primary sources are linked below.
1. Care Bears + FAO Schwarz Holiday Workshop at Rockefeller Center (Nov. 7)
The 2026 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree arrives on the Plaza on Nov. 7. To mark the day, Meet the Tree Day returns from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET with a Holiday Workshop presented by Care Bears and FAO Schwarz. Rockefeller Center says families can meet six Care Bears characters, write holiday letters, add a wish or act of kindness to The Caring Tree, take festive photos and make handmade keepsakes at the Care-A-Lot Craft Corner. The event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. A Meet the Tree + Top of the Rock ticket adds expedited entry plus Care Bears photo moments, giveaways and views from the observation deck.
FAO Schwarz's flagship sits at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, steps from the tree. Shoppers heading to Meet the Tree Day can pair the workshop with a visit to the toy store; check faoschwarz.com for current Care Bears and holiday assortment before you go.
Pros: Free, dated family event tied to the tree arrival; Care Bears character meet-and-greet plus crafts in one place; Top of the Rock add-on for guests who want guaranteed entry.
Cons: New York only and first-come, first-served for free entry; outdoor November weather; character lines can move slowly at peak times.

2. Netflix Opens KPop Demon Hunters: For the Fans! Hub (Nov. 5)
On Nov. 5, Netflix launched KPop Demon Hunters: For the Fans!, a destination that pulls the film, the sing-along version, lyric videos, fan-collection clips and new companion series into one place. New on the hub, per Netflix's About Netflix post: PLAYlist Stories (including the six-episode stop-motion HUNTR/X Backstage Pass, a three-episode KPop Toy Creations series and a four-episode Play Games With Us stop-motion set) plus Learn the Choreo! videos covering "How It's Done," "Golden," "Takedown," "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol."
For toy buyers, the hub keeps the franchise warm through the holidays while Mattel and other licensees keep product on shelves and online.
Pros: One official place for the film and kid-friendly companion content; choreography and stop-motion series extend play beyond the movie; supports ongoing licensed-toy demand into Q4.
Cons: The hub itself is streaming content, not a toy; some Mattel SKUs flip between preorder, low stock and out of stock.

3. Gift Tie-In: Mattel HUNTR/X Fashion Dolls
Mattel's HUNTR/X "How It's Done" fashion dolls (Rumi, Mira and Zoey) remain the easiest toy tie-in for families watching the new hub. Mattel's shop lists Mira in her stage look with Curved Moon Sword accessory, 11 posable joints, ages 6+ (choking-hazard warning for under 3). On Nov. 6, Amazon's Creators API showed the Rumi doll at $26.98 with availability type AVAILABLE_DATE; Mira (B0GC8W5HHN) and Zoey (B0GCCHQ77Z) returned Currently unavailable. Mattel Creations' deluxe HUNTR/X "What It Sounds Like" 3-pack was sold out, with a sign-up for later drops.
Pros: Recognizable movie looks and accessories; about $27 when listed; strong franchise heat from the new hub.
Cons: Sold separately, so a full trio adds up; stock is uneven (Mira/Zoey unavailable on Amazon at check time); small parts, not for under 3.
