Good Co./Bad Co.

Specialty retailers from across the United States have contacted TDmonthly Magazine and ToyDirectory via emails, comments and the Forums about their troubles with Ganz. (Read Webkinz: Boom, Bust or Both?)

So TDmonthly Magazine emailed a survey asking toy-store owners to share their experiences — good and bad — with manufacturers who service the specialty toy industry:

“I was baffled when I was told an opening order to carry the Thomas the Tank wooden train series was $2500!!!!” exclaimed Kelly Rummelhart of Ruby Q's in Gridley, Calif. “You've got to be kidding me!”

“I like working with Small World, Educational Insights, Learning Resources, Playmobil and Corolle, as I can order only what I can use for the time period,” shared Patti Tepper-Rasmussen, owner of  Learning Tree in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Find out what others had to say about Melissa & Doug, Haba, Wild Planet, Ty and others in the July issue of TDmonthly Magazine.
