This refill cup contains 5 live Painted Lady caterpillars for use with the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden Habitat (sold separately). The caterpillars are raised on Insect Lore's California farm, where they've been cultivating butterflies since 1969. The kit provides all necessary caterpillar food and care instructions. Users can observe the complete metamorphosis process as the caterpillars develop into chrysalides and emerge as butterflies. For best results, order when local daytime temperatures remain between 50–90°F. Shipping is limited to the continental United States. The reusable habitat and Chrys-a-Lid Log must be purchased separately. This educational kit supports STEM learning for children, families, and classroom settings.
