Hey Big Boy -- We've got your Action!
ToyDirectory Checks out Collectible Action Figures

By Tim Connolly

Reservoir Dogs by Mezco Toys ($27.99)

Another newcomer is Mezco Toys (Website under construction), with a lineup that includes movies, graffiti artists, and child zombies. Their Reservoir Dogs sets have recently hit the shelves, much to the delight of frustrated Tarantino fans. Individual figures are now available for Mr. Pink, Orange, Blonde, and White—complete with the requisite accessories: guns, briefcases, and in the case of Mr. Blonde, the infamous straight-razor.

There’s also the “Stuck in the Middle” Playset that will allow the sadistically inclined collector to relive the film’s ear-amputation scene without hitting rewind over and over.

"Stuck in the Middle" playset ($24.99), Hoodz® ($15.99) , and Living Dead Eggzorcist ($21.95), by Mezco Toys

Other lines include the Writer’s Block Set: Hoodz®, a series of “graph artists” made in what’s described as the “latest Hong Kong style known as Urban Vinyl.” There’s also the very popular Living Dead Dolls®, a series of cuddly undead figures, each packaged in its own coffin-shaped box. My favorite would have to be the doll dressed in the Easter Bunny suit, named “Eggzorcist.” (cont.)
