Liberty Puzzles is a wooden jigsaw puzzle maker founded in 2005 by Jeff Eldridge and Chris Wirth and based in Boulder, Colorado, where its puzzles are designed and made. The idea grew out of a family collection of vintage wooden puzzles, and the company aims to carry that older style forward. Each puzzle is laser-cut from quarter-inch wood and includes many whimsy pieces, shaped like animals, objects and symbols tied to the image. Designs draw on fine art, vintage-style images and work by contemporary artists, in sizes from small puzzles to large ones for experienced puzzlers. The company also makes custom puzzles from customer images, offers a lost-piece replacement service and runs a retail store in Boulder. Visit the Liberty Puzzles website for the current collection.
