This two-in-one combination microscope has two built in light sources: one shines up through the slide and another shines down on solid objects.  The lenses are made of real optical glass, which produces a very clear image.  The microscope uses AA batteries, which makes it portable and usable outdoors.  Launch date: December 2006.
