This precious little Eggling looks and feels like an extra large egg, but kids can crack its top to discover a garden ready for sowing. It is made of white porous ceramic and comes with a  terra-cotta tray and a seed pack of either herbs (basil, Italian parsley, mint or thyme) or flowers (chrysanthemum, lobelia, phlox or petunia). The plants grow for up to five months in the Eggling and can then be planted directly in soil.
