Purse Pals are 3-D pets that live in a virtual world.  Each small pet comes in a purse that opens to reveal a play environment with electronic sensors.  Icons displayed on an LCD screen on the purse measure the pet's needs and happiness.  Character Recognition technology enables the purses to recognize different pets and launch into party mode when other animals visit.  In addition to group activity, there are plenty of games intended for one-on-one time between a girl and her pet.  Launch date: August 2007.
