For this project, users simply apply a design to the felted purse using unspun wool (roving) and a special felting needle, using a poking motion with the needle to interlock the fibers. Kits include the finished wool felted purse, un-spun wool, cotton thread, beads and/or sequins, transfer paper, a foam block, two felting needles, a beading needle and easy instructions. The project “allows pre-teens and teens to create their own ‘Little Fashion Purse’ at a fraction of the cost while providing hours or creative crafting fun,” Sales Manager Ann Shade at Dimensions told TDmonthly.
