This 27-inch wooden crokinole board comes with 24 black and white discs that double as checkers pieces, along with instructions. Crokinole originated in 19th-century rural Canada, offering players a connection to traditional Canadian gameplay. The rules require players to ricochet shots off existing discs after the first turn, creating dynamic and unpredictable gameplay. The board's reversible design allows for both crokinole and checkers play. Constructed from quality wood with a balanced finish, the board provides consistent surface friction suitable for competitive play. The set accommodates 2-4 players, making it suitable for home, office, or social settings.
Things to Keep in MindA common issue reported is that the pegs frequently come loose during play, often requiring users to glue or replace them. Additionally, some reviews highlight general quality control concerns such as a rough playing surface, cosmetic blemishes, or board warping, along with non-standard disc and hole sizing. Why You'll Like ItThe board offers good value as an entry-level option for those new to the game, providing an engaging and fun experience for casual family play.
