TDmonthly LIVE Retailer Reporter Coverage 2015 - Day 2

Hot toys from Toy Fair Day 2

TDmonthly's Retailer Reporters (meet them here!) are on the floor at Toy Fair, scouting out the best new toys in specialty. See their feedback below! You can also follow us on TWITTER and FACEBOOK for more up-to-date coverage, and you can see more Toy Fair articles and a live feed of our videos on the TDmonthly homepage.

MADAME ALEXANDER DOLL CO

"In case you have an extra $5K this limited edition Elsa from Madame Alexander is just for you," joked Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store. "Frozen's Elsa is beautiful, 21" tall with more than 5000 Swarovski crystals" decorating her outfit, she told us.

JURATOYS US CORP

Priscilla from Mr. Fubs told us that she loves Kaloo plush at the Juratoy booth (2775).

She was entranced by the "musical pull toys like this sweet bird (above) and like all Kaloo plush, it is fully washable," she shared. It's part of their "luxuriously soft plush line," which also includes "small activity toys on cards for easy display."

Priscilla was also intrigued by their Janod offerings. "Juratoys has plenty new in its Janod line. Workbenches for boys are now joined by girls' kitchens," she told us.

For girls, "The Janod Princess Palace play sets open up completely to make their own play space," while boys have the Janod Grand Prix suitcase race track.

Their instrument line is expanding, too. They have "more accessories and 4 new sets joining the polka dotted Confetti musical play group," she shared.

FOLKMANIS PUPPETS

"Folkmanis (Booth 2751) steals my heart every year. Enjoy. Every child should experience being the puppeteer!!" Kate from Kidstop Toys told us.

"The fabulous menagerie of unique puppets at Folkmanis has grown again," Priscilla from Mr. Fubs told TDmonthly. "Newest members include a showy lizard whose wings flap with your command...

"Hungry Chick finger puppets...

"A dragon that comes out of its turret...

"A handsome Winged Dragon...

"And a snowy white Arctic Fox."

"They're reliably inventive!"

PACIFIC PLAY TENTS

"The Pacific Play Tents (Booth 2463) Princess Castle folds up and fits in the bag you see next to it," Kate from Kidstop Toys shared. She also loved their Space Tent. "Great finds!"

Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store was also a fan. "If you don't want to build a treehouse, Pacific Play Tents has great club house tent," she shared.

BACHMANN

Bachmann's trains give you "Just a touch of nostalgia," Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store said. "I loved taking my children to Ringling Brothers Circus. Three rings, cotton candy and clowns."

COROLLE DOLLS

Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store loves Corolle (Booth 1523). "For a sweet face, a beautiful outfit & a great smelling baby, Corolle fills the bill," she told us.

AURORA WORLD

"Can you believe raggedy Ann is 100 years old? We should all age so well," joked Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store at the Aurora booth.

KETTLER INTERNATIONAL

"Kettler's Verso prices make the retail range affordable," Kate from Kidstop Toys told us. "The line is new from Kettler (Booth 1703). Love the colors!"

Sari from Dollhouse & Toy Store told us that "Kettler is my favorite trike. Balanced, durable, with a push bar. It will withstand rough & tumble play, and can be passed down to child number two - even three or four!"

DREAM BIG WHOLESALE DOLL CLOTHES

Sari from the Dollhouse & Toy Store loves this dress, for 18" dolls, from Dream Big Wholesale Doll Clothes (Booth 1060).

"It's such a pretty dress & hair clip. Perfect for night out with Daddy," she said. She also loved the pretty rosette shoes.

DOUGLAS CUDDLE TOYS

"The new Tickled Pink Douglas Cuddle Toys line is so cute we ordered the whole group," On The Park toys in Kingwood, Tex., told TDmonthly.

"Douglas is our favorite plush line. The product is high quality, and the faces of the dogs and animals are adorable. Douglas is one of the best companies to deal with for orders and invoices," On the Park said. "We love Scott!"

GEOSPACE INTERNATIONAL

On the Park ordered all of the new Bungee Blast launchers from Geospace. "They have great price points," they told us.

On the Park also likes Geospace's "Jump Rockets interchangeable refills - rocket, plane and darts."

TENTACLE KITTY

"Tentacle Kitty started as a drawing from a husband for his wife," Sari from the Dollhouse & Toy Store in Scottsdale, Ariz., told TDmonthly. "Tentacle Kitty shows us that we should not judge others. It's cute & soft to touch."

ENDLESS GAMES

Cupcake Race
by Endless Games at Booth 331 is "A yummy way for little kids to play with family," On the Park told TDmonthly.

Meanwhile, their Korner'd is "An easy matching game. Autistic children have a good sense of picking up patterns," so this game would be perfect for that group, On the Park mused. They're also fans of Crazy Legs, a great family game that incorporates yoga and fun exercises.

THE ORB FACTORY LIMITED

"As usual The Orb Factory (Booth 271)has come out with great new craft activities," says On the Park. "They have a jewelry box that has a cute top that folds up to be a picture frame. Well made!" Their new "Pixel Pops are easy for a children to create figures and art pieces that are a take off of Minecraft. Pixel Pops and JEWELRY BOX are must haves!"

FASHION ANGELS

"Fashion Angels at Booth 459 have added two lines of products that address two areas that Specialty Toy Stores have needed for some time," On the Park shared.

"They have a great display in the works that I would wait for, a new cosmetics line called Work in Progress. It's a line of cosmetics for that all important tween market, making them feel grown up but not too grown up for their parents," On the Park explained to TDmonthly.

They're also entering "the American Girl market, with a line of crafts that create items for both the doll and its owner. Great!!!"

SUGAR LULU

Priscilla Moore from Mr. Fubs Party/Toys and More in Yellow Springs, Ohio, told TDmonthly that Sugar LuLu (Booth 2722) "has the best tats for tween girls ever! Didn't even come off in the shower!"
