Toy Recall & Safety Watch: Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2026

Harkla swings, PILLANI pillows, two magnet toys with no recall, tip-over dressers and failing alarms

This week the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced its Oct. 29 batch: a children's sensory swing whose ceiling hook can separate, nursing pillows and kids' pajamas that violate federal standards, two magnet toys sold with no recall offered, two dressers that can tip over onto children, a hair-regrowth product sold without child-resistant packaging, a gate remote with an easy-to-open coin battery and two smoke and CO alarms that can fail to sound. Each agency's instructions are quoted exactly as published. We checked CPSC, Health Canada and FDA on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026; none had new children's recalls after Oct. 30. Already covered in recent issues: the Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels toddler bars, Wise Wife ground cinnamon and Health Canada's expanded warning on balloon-blowing kits.

How we checked

We reviewed CPSC's recall data (SaferProducts.gov) and warnings, Health Canada's recalls and safety alerts, and FDA's recalls and advisories for Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2026, on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. Products with no children's or child-safety angle (for example, coffee makers, space heaters, power banks and gas boilers) are left out. Where an agency asks owners to email a photo, the address is on the agency notice linked above. To report a problem with a product, use SaferProducts.gov (U.S.) or Health Canada's incident report form. Questions or corrections: [email protected].
