Few kids were as obsessed with puzzles as a child as co-founder Adam Silver. Choosing his first job working at a toy store restocking the puzzle shelf, Adam was hooked. He puzzled in his spare time, on vacation and even in competitions. . .

Always a designer and aspiring entrepreneur, Co-Founder Sarah Dickinson has been making things for as long as she can remember. Dabbling in architecture, interior design and accessories creation she had collaborated with the MTA on earlier projects such as the Metro Card Bag.

When this dynamic duo reconnected in New York City years after having previously been undergrads together at Cornell, they got to talking . . . to their shock and amazement they began to hatch a plan that had never been done before but was long overdue. . .The New York City Subway Map! An icon of this great metropolis. A symbol to all locals of the life facilitating infrastructural force of the city. To tourists, a colorful way to remember the places they went. To people of all ages, the subway was a symbol, and what better way, to honor, learn, experience and appreciate its complexity and examining it piece by piece in this one of a kind jigsaw puzzle. But why stop there. The city and its surroundings had so much to offer, this subway puzzle was just the beginning. Further New York Puzzles were soon to follow, to create the basis for what is today NEW YORK PUZZLE COMPANY.
