Muntjacs are one of the oldest known species of deer. Also called Barking Deer because of their peculiar barking that can go on for hours and hours, muntjacs live in the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. Giant Muntjacs, about the size of a large dog, were only discovered in northern Vietnam in 1994, but have since been spotted numerous times in the mountains between Laos and Vietnam.
