Mists Over Carcassonne is a cooperative adaptation of the classic tile-laying game Carcassonne. Players work together to strategically place tiles, control the spread of ghosts, and contain haunted areas within cemeteries while leveraging haunted castles for tactical advantage. The game requires careful planning, as too many ghosts on the board or insufficient points when tiles run out results in defeat. Unlike competitive versions, this variant encourages open discussion—players reveal their tiles and collectively decide placements. Coordination becomes especially crucial in later levels as challenges intensify. The objective is to reach a target score before running out of tiles or losing control of the ghosts. Designed for 1 to 5 players aged 10 and up, the game includes six progressively challenging levels that introduce mechanics step by step. Familiarity with Carcassonne allows for quicker immersion, but new players can learn through structured gameplay. Average playtime lasts around 45 minutes.
