The set offers two ways to play: a fair-start race mode and a rescue adventure. To race, place both cars at the starting line, press the mechanism, and watch them speed toward the firehouse. In rescue mode, Lightning McQueen is diverted by Pitty crewmembers, racing through fires and plowing through rocks while Chick Hicks looks on from Willy’s Butte. When Lightning McQueen reaches the firehouse, kids can push the Stanley statue to launch him at Chick Hicks, knocking the rival into a cactus and saving the day.
