Holstein bulls and cows are the most popular breed of cattle in the world. They were first bred in The Netherlands and then were brought to America in 1857. Holsteins are immediately recognizable by their black and white coloring — the stereotypical farm bull and cow. Today farmers raise Holsteins for their amazing milk-producing ability: The average cow produces 3,250 gallons of milk a year. They live three to four years, but some have been known to live much longer. Cattle have four stomachs. This “common” pair is available in unlimited editions. Launch date: April 2007. Grazing quietly on grasses and woody plants, impala are active throughout the day and night. These small, reddish antelope alternate between resting and grazing and sipping cool water. Females live in herds of 200, usually defended by a single adult male; younger and weaker males live in herds of 30. Impala have an excellent sense of hearing, sight, and smell. Their most distinguishing characteristics are their ability to gracefully leap as high as 30’ in a single bound and the “M” shape on their backsides. Impala give birth to only one baby at a time. This “vulnerable” pair of figurines is limited to 20,000 editions. Launch date: April 2007. ToyDirectory Product ID#: 13698 (added 6/25/2007) .

Found above the timberline in the Coastal and Rocky Mountain regions of North America, these goats have black, shiny horns, a long white coat and a thick beard. Billies usually have longer horns and beards than the females, called nannies. Thick coats protect them from the harsh mountain weather, and hooves cushioned with skid-proof pads help them climb up cliffs. They’re good jumpers and their short legs help them maintain their balance. They feed on almost any grasses, flowers, ferns, or shrubs. This “common” pair is available in unlimited editions. “From the jackrabbits to the giraffes, all Noah’s Pals are built to a 1:24 scale, creating a cohesive collection for the animal enthusiast,” Co-founder Steve King of Caboodle! Toys told TDmonthly. Launch date: April 2007. ToyDirectory Product ID#: 13697 (added 6/25/2007) .

Lions roam the African savannah in families called prides that are made up of related females, their children and a single male. When a male reaches adulthood he gets kicked out of the pride and has to go seek his own group. Female lions hunt as a team. Together they can overpower large prey like zebras, buffalo, giraffes, hippopotamuses and even young elephants, but they’re not above scavenging other animals’ leftovers. Lions sleep as much as 20 hours a day and both males and females defend their pride from any intruders. Lions’ roars are really loud and can be heard up to five miles away. Lance is 2.6” tall x 1.2” wide x 4.0” long. Linda is 2.0” tall x 1.0” wide x 3.8” long. As “vulnerable” animals, the lions are limited to 20,000 editions. Noah's Pals are lovingly sculpted and beautifully handpainted animal figures. It's a fun and educational collection that’s perfect for both children and adults. "Each male and female pair of animals includes an educational ID Card that allows collectors to register Noah’s Pals on our interactive website where they can learn more about wildlife conservation," Co-founder Steve King of Caboodle! Toys told TDmonthly. This product received a Spring 2007 Seal of Approval from The National Parenting Center. Launch date: January 1, 2007. ToyDirectory Product ID#: 10896 (added 1/4/2007) .

Dromedary camels have been domesticated for so long that we may never know how wide their original habitats were. Camels’ bodies are perfect for long desert travel: their broad feet make walking on sand easier; their long eyelashes protect their eyes from sand; and their nostrils close to keep sand out. The hump on their backs is actually deposits of fat—stored energy for when the next oasis is miles away. Camels can survive without water for really long periods of time and can lose over forty percent of their body weight in water. (Most animals can only safely lose twenty percent.) Camels can also drink salty water and have been known to drink one third of their body weight in ten minutes. Cody is 3.7” tall x 1.4” wide x 4.6” and Carly is 3.3” tall x 1.2” wide x 3.9” long. Lucky for them, camels are useful and are so considered “common” rather than endangered. Code and Carly therefore come in unlimited editions. Noah's Pals are lovingly sculpted and beautifully handpainted animal figures. It's a fun and educational collection that’s perfect for both children and adults. Launch Date: January 1, 2007. Swinging their noses from side to side when they smell an ant or termite nest underground, aardvarks dig furiously into even the hardest-baked soil to find their supper. They can eat as many as 50,000 insects in one night and can walk up to six miles searching for food. They eat really fast but walk relatively slowly—unless they feel threatened. Then they speed away surprisingly quickly. While aardvarks may not see very well, they have an excellent sense of hearing. Noah's Pals are lovingly sculpted and beautifully handpainted animal figures. It's a fun and educational collection that’s perfect for both children and adults. Launch Date: January 1, 2007.
