A notable recurring issue is the poor quality and insufficiency of the included components, especially the dry-erase markers, which are frequently reported as arriving dry, defective, or having a very short lifespan. The wipe-off books/pages also drew criticism for scratching easily, not cleaning well, or sometimes arriving in a pre-used condition. Some players also found the provided word cards too simple, which can reduce the humorous misinterpretations that are central to the game's appeal, particularly when playing without a timer or with smaller groups.

This game is highly praised as a very entertaining and engaging experience, consistently generating laughter and enjoyment for a wide age range, from young children to seniors. Many find it fosters positive social interaction, making it a favorite for family gatherings and groups due to its simple, yet highly replayable, concept.
