Plush and Cuddly Sea Friends

Have you ever wished you could swim with dolphins or pet a baby seal? Perhaps you will never get up close and personal with these sea creatures, but how about holding a plush tightly as you fall asleep each night?

That's the idea behind a new line of plush sea creatures introduced by the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company (ToyShow) featuring the art of Wyland. The first five sea mammals include an Orca Whale, a Dolphin, a Baby Seal, a Sea Lion and a Manatee.

The Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company has created three different kinds of the soft sea creatures. The large plush are 18 inches long, the "squeezers" measure 12 inches and bean-filled creatures clock in at 7 inches. Each is made of a velvet-sheen faux fur, according to David Socha, president of The Beverly Hills Teddy Bear company. Special attention has been given to every detail of these special plush creations. Squeezers even have a sound chip inside them that makes realistic sounds when squeezed.

The Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company enlisted legendary artist Wyland to realistically replicate the beauty of marine life. Wyland is known around the world for his magnificent paintings, murals and sculptures of marine life. "He has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records and was recognized by the United Nations in 1998 for his conservation efforts," says Socha.

Wyland’s plush creations can be purchased for $5.99 - $29.99 at specialty gift shops or by visiting
