This book is the first in a series of environmental children's book. In this book children will use their senses to explore nature, they will smell, hear, feel and see their way through their own backyard nature discovery. Each page offers a new and unique look into nature with colorful pictures that will teach and challenge children to find all that nature has to offer. In the back of the book parents and educators will find great tips for embarking on a nature discovery with their children or students anytime of the year. Also in the back of the book are interesting educational facts (nature notes) that provide exciting information about the plants and animal we explore in the book. This book has also been linked to the Model Early Learning Standards (for WI) to help educators use this as a tool in the classroom.
