"Schleich is the world’s leading designer of high-quality, realistic animal and historical figurines and fantasy play worlds for children and collectors of all ages," Martin Gour, marketing director for Schleich North America, Inc., told TDmonthly. Launch date: January 2009.
— Schleich animals were listed as top sellers in spring 2009 at At Once All Agog in Limerick, Maine, by Storeowner Candace Gooch. “This June, my store will take part in a merchandising program with Schleich,” she told TDmonthly. “I will be putting in two, 4’ backlit Schleich displays for farm and wild animals.”

Children can immerse themselves into an imaginary world of fantasy with the Bayala collection from Schleich, complete with elves, dragons, Pegasus and unicorns. The dinosaur Apatosaurus (formerly Brontosaurus) was one of the largest land animals that ever existed. Schleich is building off the success of its popular World of Elves series by introducing eight new hand-painted figurines. Zahor is one of two new fantasy figurines specifically targeted to boys. Launch date: March 15, 2009.

This adorable Smurf is ready for the Big Screen and is part of the 2009 Smurfs movie thematic, for which there are eight new Schleich models. Launch date: January 2008.

The World of Elves line from Schleich brings a fanciful air to the carefully detailed figurines that Schleich has been producing for many years. In the World of Elves, a great battle between good and evil is played out between the Sun elves and the Shadow elves.  The wolf-riding character Jaro adds to an extensive host of characters for children to collect and illustrate their own creative stories with. Launch date: Spring 2008.

—  “We sell a lot of Schleich,” said Wallace Harvey, buyer and manager at Three Cheeky Monkeys in Los Angeles, Calif., when TDmonthly asked about his best-selling collectible toys.
—  Margy Peine, owner of Tree House Toys in Cumberland, Md., said in August 2008 that she sells an average of 100 Schleich animals and knights per month.

Schleich is introducing three new dinosaurs to the popular category Replica-Saurus. All the Replica-Saurus are to a scale of 1:40 and are all hand-painted. Each model comes equipped with a booklet containing the scientific data on each of the saurians and a figure of a human to the same scale to facilitate size comparison.
