A classic American baseball story is told in a whole new way with original orchestral music composed by Stephen Simon and performed by the London Philharmonic. This production of Casey has been much loved by concert hall audiences in New York and at the Kennedy Center in Wash., D.C. The audio recording is designed to enhance listening skills, with a full telling of Thayer’s poem, background information about the author and story, information about the musical composition and instrumentation, a sing-along “Casey March,” and a repeated telling of the poem.
