A true contemporary troubadour, Timmy Abell weaves, with a master's touch, his unique gifts as a storyteller into each musical phrase. Eight Abell originals are featured on "Little Red Wagon," including the title tune, in which Timmy Abell enters into each verse with the boundless joy of meeting an old friend. Other highlights include the profound "Like Love," the unbridled optimism of "Peace Will Dawn," the purity of the hammered dulcimer in "Rounded Glass Jig" (composed for Timmy's three boys), and the final, evocative lullaby, "All is Well", over an instrumental accompaniment that is somewhat reminiscent of the music of Carl Orff.
