These 14”, anatomically correct vinyl baby dolls are scented and washable. They are suitable for the bath and beach, and come in several varieties featuring different faces to portray emotions of sleepy, happy, surprised and more.

Each poseable doll is sold separately. “Their amazingly life-like expressions make these beautiful dolls unique,” Melaine Diaz of JC Toys Group Inc. told TDmonthly. “They are each wearing soft, knitted outfits and caps to match.” Launch date: Summer 2008.

Although small in size, the Mini La Newborn is big in its true-to-life appearance. These all-vinyl baby dolls come packed in assortments of eight dolls which include three unique facial expressions. All dolls come in a cute pink or blue knitted romper with matching hat, diaper and receiving blanket.

Lots to Cuddle Babies come with their own soft animal friend.  Each doll showcases a cute animal found in the wild.  Kids can choose from among a lion, monkey, polar bear or giraffe. These huggable baby dolls measure in at 15" and are perfect to cuddle with. They have a vinyl head, arms and legs with a soft cloth body.

Little Magical Moon measures only 9.5” long. He has angel soft skin and hair. He’s dressed in a fleecy blue onesie with matching booties, blanket, hat and a special stuffed moon toy. His fixed eyes are closed. “When people come in, it’s like when you have a real baby — you automatically touch their hair because it’s very, very soft. That’s how it is with this baby. The hair’s rooted and it looks real,” said Gigi Williams, co-owner of Gigi’s Dolls and Sherri’s Bears in Chicago.

This pudgy all-vinyl, open-eye doll measures 14”. This set includes all the accessories needed to potty train this washable baby doll: a potty, real working bottle, pacifier and baby bib. Baby’s outfit includes a matching diaper, which is reusable and washable.

Babies are available with a variety of expressive faces, including smiling, pouty and laughing. The dolls are 17” and are available anatomically correct. Their limbs rotate and can be posed.

 

—Dolls from Dolls by Berenguer’s La Newborn line are popular with reborners — craftspeople who add fine details to dolls to make them more realistic, said Laura Cerda of JC Toys, Dolls by Berenguer’s parent company.
—Their latest project is “Missy Kissy,” due out by the end of the year, which asks for a kiss as soon as she’s turned on.
—Beverly Nobis, doll buyer for Bavarian Inn Dolls in Frankenmuth, Mich., said that her store sells “tons” of the Dolls by Berenguer play baby dolls.

New for 2005, these realistic babies were designed to be both play dolls and collectibles, according to Laura Cerda of JC Toys, Dolls by Berenguer’s parent company. The limbs rotate and can be posed. The babies are made of "baby" soft vinyl, which “makes the skin feel really soft,” Cerda added.
—Both the play-baby Dolls by Berenguers and the special editions for collectors are good sellers at Yesterday’s and Today’s Dolls in Corinth, Miss., said owner Sherry Grisham.
