With a successful movie under his belt, a DVD in the works, and a soon-to-be-released new television series, Curious George continues to capture the imagination of children and adults. New to the Curious George line from RUSS is the Plush Travel Play Set. Designed as a take-along toy, George's house consists of an open textured flap, transparent windows and a mirror. Included in the house are George (who squeals when squeezed), a bed and his famous red wagon. The play set hits stores in June.
— "We sell lot of Curious George. The movie came and went, but it’s still very popular. It’s also on PBS — anything on there is popular. A lot of it is TV-driven," observed Nellie Fais, owner of Toy Magic in Bethlehem, Pa.
— When asked to give TDmonthly a sales figure for Curious George, Fais said, "We sell very few licensed toys — probably about 12 per month."
— Two of 39 other retailers agreed in spring 2007 that Curious George is a best-selling licensed brand with their customers.

This plush Curious George toy has soft brown fur and wears a doctor's uniform.

Simmons the Siamese is part of Russ Berrie's Yomiko Classics line of soft, realistic plush animals.  The cat's coat is soft Caress™ material printed with the distinctive point markings of the fine pure breed.  Finished with long whiskers and soulful blue eyes, Simmons's face is believable and detailed.
— “The Yomiko Classics plush from Russ Berrie.  Those are selling well,” said Pat Cooley, owner of Cooleykatz Toys in Livermore, Calif., when asked about the best sellers in his plush department.
— Out of 43 retailers surveyed in May 2010, three named Russ Berrie as their top-selling plush.

Russ Berrie's Luvvies plush collecton features nearly three dozen animal designs, including popular dog and cat breeds, as well as jungle and farm animals and a grouping of dinosaurs and mythical creatures. The 6" colorful plush characters are crafted of Luster Silk plush material and are surface washable. Launch date: 2010.

Designed with a realistic appearance, this soft, plush panda measures 8.5” H.

Artist Yomiko has created another realistic forest dweller for Russ Berrie. This cuddly deer makes a great room decoration or a cuddly pal to keep company with at night.

Kids who dream of cuddling with dinosaurs can get their wish. Even the horny plates on this Stegosaurus are soft and lovable.

Affectionately considered 'slightly overfed' by the Russ Berrie company, Prudence is a quite round-bodied tabby cat with beanbag and plush filling and a soft Caress material cover. Available in orange tabby and silver tabby patterns, Prudence has a plump face, realistic whiskers, and detailed stitching on all four white-socked paws.
— “Kitties and puppies from Russ Berrie,” said Cheryl Richmond, owner of Punkin Doodles in Havre, Mont., when TDmonthly inquired about her best-selling plush items in May 2009. Richmond said she sells around a dozen per month.
