Retailer Spotlight: The Toy Chest

Debbie Wurzburger opened her own toy store in Pikesville, Md., almost 23 years ago to provide her own children with quality playthings without traveling to D.C. or New York. To stand out from the competition, she began selling a line of hand-painted and embroidered items, and they’ve become her specialty.

She’s hired artists and embroiderers to personalize bibs, burp cloths and rocking chairs, to name a few.
Find out what other techniques have allowed her business to thrive for more than two decades in the next issue of TDmonthly Magazine.
