Artwork you play – this is a special gift. Hand carved keys and quality construction from a master’s workshop. Tiny gourd resonators are carefully placed underneath each key giving a big warm sound to every note. A traditional instrument in Ghana, the JAMTOWN Baliphone has been adapted to our culture by tuning in the western scale (do-re-mi…). With the help of the color guides, quickly learn Chopsticks, folk songs, and original pieces. Or just play…there are no bad notes. Adult worthy, kid tough! Great for in-store demo.

Hand-carved frog, fish, cricket and butterfly make different wood drum, scraper and clicker sounds. Play them together and imagine a summer pond at night, or a rice field in Vietnam. That was my inspiration for this pak. They are ready to play and will last a lifetime.
Try all three imaginative ways to play: 1.as durable musical instruments, each makes a unique sound; 2. as critters from the pond, each carries a special personality; 3. as a three dimensional canvas, each will morph into a memorable work of art. Carving details are great, like fish scales and butterfly wings. (Child safe paints, of course.)
Like making music together, painting together delivers memorable adult/child interaction!

This is a simple Peruvian wind instrument (these have animal shapes painted on them) constructed of terra-cotta. The mouthpiece is an important component of an ocarina. Some variations have as many as 10 holes. Ocarinas are an obscure instrument but interest in them has stirred through their use in many popular games. Sidenote: The following games have ocarinas in them - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Lunar: Silver Star Story, Grandstream Saga, Jade Cocoon, Vandal ~ Hearts, Wild Arms.
