TDmonthly Magazine Product Reviews for DIP ENTERPRISE INC. Below are some of the products from DIP ENTERPRISE INC. TDmonthly has reviewed. Name: Politically Correct The Game, The Cure for Political CorrectnessCompany: DIP ENTERPRISE INC. Age: All Ages Price: $24.99 Category: Board Games What It Is The object of this new board game is to become politically correct by collecting cash for such endeavors as crossing the U.S. border illegally or raising your sons to be suicide bombers. What We Thought Politically Correct presents a number of familiar stereotypes, such as the pregnant black teen, greedy WASP CEO and child-molesting Catholic priest without introducing any new or surprising satirical elements. As one reviewer put it, “Nice idea, but it doesn’t get offensive enough.” The one original element may be making bedfellows of liberals and ultra-conservative Middle Eastern terrorists. The game itself has very basic graphics and looks like a prototype, but presumably that’s because it’s a labor of love for its inventor, who is self-publishing. Cards and instructions are full of typos, such as “waive” the flag, “over weight,” “not to be taken serious or factual” and, oddly enough for a game with a conservative bent, “marines.” Overall, the game could use deeper thought and more care to transform it from a one-note joke to a witty satire. Why They’ll Like It Famlies and friends who love to critique and spoof politics in all its manifestations will have fun with this game. They’ll probably be tempted to create their own cards and maybe even modify the board itself to take into account current political developments. Politically Correct would be a great gift for the right person and a conversation-sparking party game, too. – Alison Marek 6/25/08 Learn more about Politically Correct The Game, The Cure for Political Correctness |
