These limited edition Vintage Ginny Dolls feature mohair wigs and wear a felt reproduction Christmas outfit — first made by Vogue Doll and presented only to its employees as a Christmas gift in the early 1950s. Only 250 sets are available, and they were introduced at the Boston Fashion Doll & Bear Extravaganza in September 2006. “Ginny has been the star of Vogue since 1950, and it is the collectors’ love for Ginny [that] makes her stand out,” David Smith, vice president of Vogue Doll Company, told TDmonthly, also noting her excellent quality and affordable price point. Candy Is Dandy is a reissue of an original Ginny Doll circa 1954. Vogue Doll has recreated the original Ginny face and body molds as first introduced in 1950. She wears a fashionable silver-gray polished cotton dress with white organdy ruffles and red trim. Her ensemble is completed with a red straw hat, red leatherette shoes and red satin bows. A limited edition of just 350 pieces, Candy Is Dandy has been nominated for a DOTY Award from DollReader Magazine. Launch date: July 2006.

Vintage Ginny is the original Ginny sculpt, as first introduced in the 1950s, and is recognized by collectors and doll lovers the world over. Each Gingerbread Ginny stands 7-1/2" tall, is made from hard plastic, is fully articulated and comes with a miniature gingerbread cookie cutter. This special Ginny doll was introduced at the Expo in Washington, D.C., in 2005. Gingerbread Boy, standing next to her in the photo, is sold separately and retails for $65.00.
