The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted several recalls and warnings in October 2026 for products used by babies and toddlers: a bedside sleeper, a high chair, an infant bath seat, a children's coin purse, two dressers and a set of crib bumpers. Health Canada also recalled a popular toddler busy board. Here is what each notice says, what to look for and the remedy the agency gives. Recalled products are never linked or recommended here. Papablic Convertible Bedside Sleepers with Play Yard Extensions (Recall 27-027, Oct. 15)
Hazard: CPSC says the sleepers violate the mandatory safety standard for play yards. The mattress can become displaced, trapping a baby between the sleeping pad and the bottom, which is a suffocation hazard, and the latching and locking mechanism can fail and collapse the product.
How to identify it: model PAPA03001AI, printed on a label sewn to the interior fabric underneath the mattress pad. The sleepers have a gray exterior, a stars-and-moon interior print and "Papablic" stitched in white on the front. About 248 were sold on Amazon.com and papablic.com from April 2025 through July 2026 for about $190.
Remedy: stop using it immediately and contact Papablic for a full refund. Owners are asked to disassemble it, cut the mattress and fabric components in half and email photos as proof of destruction (contact details are on the CPSC notice). No injuries were reported.

bblüv Grow High Chairs (CPSC Product Safety Warning 27-031, Oct. 15)
Hazard: the restraint systems were not preassembled to the chairs, which CPSC says violates the high chair standard and poses fall and entrapment hazards.
Why this one is different: this is a CPSC warning, not a company recall. CPSC issued a Notice of Violation and says bblüv Group "has not agreed to an acceptable corrective action plan," so there is no refund program.
How to identify it: a gray molded bucket-style seat with a matching fabric cover, a gray tray, four wooden legs and the bblüv logo printed in white on the front edge of the tray. The chair converts to a toddler chair. It was sold by third-party sellers and on other websites.
What CPSC says to do: stop using the chairs immediately and dispose of them; do not sell or give them away. No injuries were reported.

ONTHEWEI Baby Bath Seats, Model MY002 (Recall 27-018, Oct. 8)
Hazard: CPSC says the seats are unstable and can tip over in use, a drowning hazard, and they violate the mandatory standard for infant bath seats.
How to identify it: a label on the back reads "Model No: MY002" and "Date of manufacturer: 2026/1/10." Colors are gray, pink, blue and mist green. About 2,140 were sold on Amazon.com in April 2026 for $40 to $50.
Remedy: stop using it and contact ONTHEWEI for a full refund. Owners write "RECALLED" on the front, remove the back rest and arm restraints, cut the three suction cups on the underside and email a photo (contact details are on the CPSC notice). No injuries were reported.

Primark 101 Dalmatians Faux Leather Children's Coin Purses (Recall 27-028, Oct. 15)
Hazard: CPSC says the purses contain "higher phthalate concentration levels." In CPSC's words, phthalates "can be harmful if young children are exposed to sufficient amounts, including through ingestion."
How to identify it: a black purse with a dalmatian and "101 Dalmatians" printed on the front; model 2595301 is on the product tag attached to the zip puller. About 2,100 were sold at Primark stores in the Northeast and in Florida, Maryland and Illinois from March to June 2026 for about $9.
Remedy: stop using them, keep them away from children and return them to a Primark store for a full refund.

Dresser Tip-Over Notices: Romorgniz Six-Drawer Dressers (Oct. 8) and Henan Senka Chalsea Dressers (Oct. 15)
CPSC says both products are unstable if not anchored to the wall and violate the mandatory clothing-storage standard required by the STURDY Act, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards to children.
Romorgniz (recall, about 12,078 units, sold on Amazon): stop using the dresser if it is not anchored, move it where children cannot reach it and contact Romorgniz for a full refund. Owners write "RECALLED" on the top, front and sides, remove all drawers and send photos before disposal.
Henan Senka Chalsea four-drawer dressers (CPSC warning): CPSC urges consumers to stop using the dresser and dispose of it, or anchor it securely to the wall, and not to sell or give it away.

Mbabyjon Crib Bumpers (CPSC Warning, Oct. 1)
CPSC warns that the crib bumpers can obstruct an infant's breathing, posing a suffocation hazard, and notes that padded crib bumpers are banned under the federal Safe Sleep for Babies Act. CPSC urges consumers to stop using them, dispose of them and not sell or give them away.

Canada: Esjay Toddler Busy Board Montessori Toys, Blue with Dinosaurs (Health Canada RA-82693, Oct. 7)
Hazard: the red small parts on the second of the board's five pages can detach and pose a choking hazard to children under 3.
How to identify it: a blue felt busy board with a carrying handle and an elastic-cord-and-button closure, cartoon dinosaurs on the front and 26 alphabet squares with cartoon animals on the back. Health Canada says 32,340 were sold in Canada from August 2023 to September 2026. The company reported no incidents or injuries in Canada as of Sept. 22, 2026.
Remedy: stop using it and contact Esjay for a free replacement page. Owners unzip the page with the red small parts, write "RECALLED" on both sides, throw it away and send Esjay a photo (contact details are on the Health Canada notice). This is a Canadian recall; Health Canada's notice does not cover U.S. sales.
